Medieval
Farmer
I worked on the game’s concept, built its early prototype in Blueprints and made the trailer.

Original Medieval Farmer trailer from my portfolio. This page covers my work on the early project, not later versions.
01 / Overview
My role on the project
Medieval Farmer was a farming and survival game concept built around construction, harvesting and progression. I worked on its concept, game design documentation and pre-production. I independently designed and implemented its building prototype in Blueprints, and created the project trailer.
My work also covered the environment for the vertical slice: level layout, landscape, foliage, lighting and visual presentation.
02 / Hands-on prototype
The building prototype
I designed and implemented the building interaction in Unreal Engine Blueprints:
Preview the placement
A green outline shows the player where the structure will be placed.
Check the resources
Placement checks whether the player has the required resources.
Place the structure
The player confirms placement with the left mouse button.
Build with the hammer
The player uses a hammer to build the placed structure.
03 / World & presentation
Environment and trailer
I developed the environment used to present the early game, including level design, level art, landscape work, foliage, lighting and post-processing.
I also created the trailer, working with cinematic scenes, Unreal Engine Sequencer and video editing.
